What up gang. so I’m lookin at this story about the Canadian mint worker and I gotta tell ya... some people take the "stacking physical assets" advice way too far. like, way too far. we got this guy Leston Lawrence up in Ottawa who decided the best way to bypass security at the mint was to hide gold pucks inside his own body. and when i say inside, i mean he was literally shoving them up his bum to walk past the metal detectors.
Honestly, i talk a lot about risk management and how you gotta have skin in the game but this man took it to a whole new level of literal. he managed to walk out with like 180k worth of gold before anyone noticed. thats a lot of trips to the bathroom, eh? I’m over here coding stuff trying to keep the my projects, while this guy is just out here doing the most painful physical grind imaginable.
The funniest part is he didn't even get caught by the high-tech security at the mint. they had the wands and the sensors and everything but he just kept walking through. he got caught because he was taking these gold-smeared checks to the bank and the teller was like... wait a minute, why is this guy depositing 7k every other day? they found a tub of Vaseline in his locker and that was basically the smoking gun. or the smoking puck, I guess.
it’s just wild to me. people are out here stressing over crypto hype and what the latest sleaze ball on twitter is saying about some new chain, but meanwhile, we got real life heists happening via the gastrointestinal route. it’s gritty, it’s gross, I definitely wouldn't recommend it 🤣.
look, i’m all for personal responsibility and taking what’s yours, but there’s gotta be a limit. stick to the digital stuff or just buy your gold like a normal person. don't turn yourself into a human pez dispenser for bullion. it makes the rest of us look bad, folks. stay safe out there and maybe keep your stacking to things that don't require a medical professional to retrieve. ya boy is out.
