Shallow Dive into AI Smut

What is good folks, so I caught this story the other day about some dude using Grok to pump out provocative images of some lady and then just blasting 'em all over the internet. Look, ya boy is all about tech and pushing boundaries, but there’s a line, eh? When you start impersonating real people and posting that stuff online just to mess with their life or clout chase, that’s just sleaze ball behavior. Pure and simple.

But it got me thinking... is this really a "new" problem? People have been weird for thousands of years. Back in the day, if you wanted a "spicy" pic of the neighbor or some celebrity, you just had to be a decent artist or have the coin to commission some starving painter to do it for you. The intent hasn't changed—only the barrier to entry has. Now any basement dweller with a prompt can do what used to take weeks of skill. It’s just more accessible now, which makes the fallout way faster and way uglier.

I’ve been deep in the AI space for a minute, managing servers and messing with local nodes, and ya boy was looking at the "AI pimpin" angle as a way to maybe disrupt real human sex work at least in the digital realm. Realistically, things like OnlyFans are sold as this easy money dream, but it's only true for a tiny percentage of creators. For everyone else, it’s a soul crushing grind for pennies. If we could use pixels to meet that demand, maybe we’d save some real people from that life.

Realistically though, Grok and the big cloud tools are gonna have safeguards. They’ll block the heavy stuff because they don't want the legal heat. But there’s other online services with better smut making capabilities but local tools you run on your own hardware there are zero railguards. Thats where the real wild west is... a loaded topic, and there’s a lot to unpack regarding the ethics of it all, so we’ll save the deep dive for another day. Just remember, tech is a tool, but don't use it to be a creep or at least keep your neighbors AI generated content to yourself.
