RE: Hives shit disturber

in The City of Neoxian2 days ago

I've mentioned this a lot in the past on other posts but for me I don't care so much for the price, the real fear and sign of how the chain is doing is the volume. Price can be high or low but that's just speculation. If the volume (average) is high, then it means there's plenty of attention. If the volume is low, then it means few people are paying attention.

We see some horrifically low volume given the exchanges we're on, and I've been afraid of a delisting on something like Binance which would just throw Hive into the grave.

Sort:

That is a good point, and I have not heard of anything in the works that could help hive mitigate such a risk

Markets are generally out of our control given it is speculative. The absolute most that could be done is better marketing, whatever that means, and also more appealing developmental features to drive in more speculation. We have had some fun features added to the front-ends over the past year but those are features that make existing users happy. They don't ripple out and make those less aware of Hive hear of us.

This is why this is the real problem, the volume drying up signals less interest overall, and the exchanges don't make much money from small volume orders. The death of Hive wouldn't necessarily be infighting and people leaving and not posting, but the exchanges dropping support.
