Bien pudiera ser, Alfonsina,
que los trenes
cuelguen la mirada
sobre los girasoles
para gritar tu nombre
en las ventanas del pueblo.
En el mismo tren,
está la Gioconda
con sus ojos de luciérnaga,
mujer flujo y reflujo,
marea,
espiral,
caminos en el polvo,
lunas,
soles,
y estrellas
que no cambian de lugar.
Las estaciones,
aún esperan
la próxima parada.

It could well be, Alfonsina,
that the trains
give their gaze
over the sunflowers
to shout your name
in the town's windows.
On the same train,
is the Mona Lisa
with her firefly eyes,
woman of ebb and flow,
tide,
spiral,
paths in the dust,
moons,
suns,
and stars
that never change their place.

The stations,
still await
the next stop.
