A productive start for the day, as I finally got on with something I have been procrastinating with for a long while. Congrats self. You deserve a pat on your shoulder, lol! It's funny how my mood can shift from good to blah and vice versa. My hormones must be really getting older, haha! I tend to feel lethargic, but the good thing is that my thoughts are still positive.
Anyway, it's Thursday, which means "Slothly Day" or goaling day. Although nothing significant happened, the numbers are growing very slowly.
| YE Goal | Current Balance | Last Week | Growth (+ / -) | To Go | Note | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HIVE | 500 | 31 | 22 | 9 | 469 | ok |
| HBD | 200 | 25 | 20 | 5 | 175 | Note below |
I still haven't come up with a plan on how to go about my HBD goal, since we are no longer receiving any from our author rewards. And it's something to think about, especially after reading the question from our Liotes Mission. It asked how I would react if the 2nd HBD haircut is reached (i.e., debt ratio reaches 30% - HBD would lose its peg, and that would be triggered if HIVE price drops to approximately $0.048 per info on CuteHive or reaches the HIVE debt support price of $0.036 per HBDstats. (Not sure which info is the most accurate).
Oh boy. I honestly don't know. The truth is, I never imagined HIVE would be where it is now. Experiencing HIVE at above $1 in 2022, (even buying some with my personal funds) and seeing it dwindling to 7 cents made me really sad, and I guess it's the same for everyone.
Yes, the broader crypto market is mostly down, with Bitcoin now below $70k, but it made me wonder what went wrong over the past few years for our beloved HIVE, and whether something could be done before the worst happens. To date, all funded proposals are still being paid, which means DHF is still printing HBD for these. Anyway, let me stop there before I go blabbering about things, lol! Do correct me if I wrote or said anything weird. Thank you.
Anyway, I was curious and snooped into the largest HBD staker on-chain to see if there is any movement, and he still has his 2.4 million HBD staked. I assume he trusts HBD won't lose the peg (and I fervently hope it won't).
And yeah, I may change my HBD goal soon.
