RE: The Count of Chanteleine: A Historical Novel by Jules Verne and ❌Anti-Revolutionary!

in Hive Book Club10 days ago

Jules Verne is my favorite author, alongside Shakespeare. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea inspired me even more to uncover the magic of scuba diving. I haven't read the Count of Chanteleine; thanks for bringing it to my attention. Well, what's the difference between fiction and reality, anyway? Two sides of the same coin, a smooth transition between dimensions... I like to use the Internet Archive (https://archive.org/) for rare books, but this one doesn't seem to be available on it.

Yeah! He's one of my favorites, and years ago the one I read the most... and he has many more works, some unknown like this one that I've only recently discovered. I think he's always been a visionary, who knew more than just telling fictional stories. About this one, I found it on Italian but not easy, actually the Wikipedia page about the novel is much more complete in Spanish and very short in English, don't know why.... anyway hope you can find it or if I see it I will let you know.
