Hello plant based foodies, wherever you are in the world! Here @sirenahippie
This season of the year is very special. In one part of the planet it's autumn, while in another it's spring. But what both hemispheres do have in common is the celebration of various festivals linked to the spiritual world.
Whether it's the Day of the Dead, Samhain, Halloween, or any other spiritually connected holiday, many people around the world are attuned to these important, meaningful, and special festivities. However, some people associate these celebrations with animal sacrifices. Yes, exactly, with the killing of animals, not for food, but with ritual significance, meaning the taking and offering of animal lives to certain entities in exchange for favors.
While the world is vast and diverse, with many religions and beliefs that deserve respect, we in the vegan community strongly disagree with these practices, even more so than with the killing of animals for food. From our perspective, it is inconceivable that the life of an innocent being should be taken for ritual purposes.
These practices are closely associated with the celebration of Halloween this season; therefore, we urge you to take the utmost care of your pets, namely your dogs and cats, this month and even the next. And if you have animals to give up for adoption, DO NOT give them up for adoption for the rest of the year, as there is a high possibility they will be used as sacrifices in rituals, or they could even become "Christmas gifts." So, it's best to avoid these sad fates.
Special care must be taken with black or white dogs and cats, as those who practice these practices consider these animals suitable for offerings. In the case of black cats, popular belief is that they are associated with dark energies, which is absolutely false and a product of widespread ignorance.
