The world is a world of offenses. Jesus Christ told us that in the world there will be offenses. He said that it will be impossible for us to think that there will not be offenses in the world. So, this is an instruction that there will always be occasions for someone to be offended as long as we are in the world. The world cannot be a perfect place because the evil one is still working. The Bible says that the devil goes about like a roaring lion seeking for whom he may devour. So, this devil turns this world into an offensive place. We must bear in our minds that there is no way we are going to escape the issue of offenses in the world.
What did our Lord Jesus Christ told us? He told us to always forgive those who offends us. Yes, offenses are inevitable but we must not allow the offenses to make us overcome of evil. We must overcome evil with good. We must not allow the bitterness of offenses to overcome us. We must overcome every offensive situation by love. Only love is the antidote for the various offenses that are in the world.
The reason why many people find it difficult to forgive others is because they are not working in love. We have the love of God in us because we are born of God. Let us express this love everywhere. Let us not cause offenses to others. Also let us not be weary to forgive those who sin against us. When we forgive, let us try to forget the bad things that people do to us. The Holy Spirit shall give us the ability to forgive all men always.
