May God give us the victory over the flesh and enable us to live victoriously in righteousness everyday. It is the will of God the we should work in righteousness. The Bible says that God had called us unto righteousness not unto sin. Every unrighteousness is a sin. He or she who sins is not doing the will of God. The will of God is for people to obey His commandments and love him. No matter how the world looks today when we consider it through the lens of God's word, God still expect that people should turn from sin and serve him.
The body of sin must be done away with. We must put of the flesh and all its lustful desires. We must mortify our carnal members. We must decease from the works of the flesh. We need to allow our hearts to serve God in true holiness and righteousness. God wants us to walk before Him and be upright.
Our body desires the pleasures of the world. It takes pleasure in disobeying the commandments of God. We must not yield ourselves to serve the devil. We are to rely upon the Holy Spirit who is able to help live according to the ways of God. The flesh will always oppose the purpose of God but we must resist the flesh and refuse to fulfill the works of the flesh.
