The life we live unto God should be a life of holiness. You can't live an effective Christian life if you don't know exactly what it takes for you to do so. To be able to live the Christian Life that is expected of us by God we need to live a life of consecration. This demands that we deny ourselves of some things in order to please God.
God doesn't like the sight of unholiness. No one can come before God without first of all consecrate ourselves unto God. If the God we serve is a holy God then we ourselves are expected to live a life of holiness.
Holiness is a beautiful thing in the sight of God. Being holy should be what we desire to be everyday of our lives. How we are able to achieve this is by allowing the Holy Spirit to come and dwell inside of us. He's the one who gives us the enablement to live a life pleasing unto God and put aside everything that displeases God.
