As Christians it is expected of us that we live in peace. We live in a world where there is pandemonium here and there, but this shouldn't be the kind of lifestyle we should exhibit. When we let Christ in our home there can't be avenue for strive among ourselves.
When we repent and become born again and we allow ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit we begin to maintain a life of peace. The Holy Spirit cannot lead or direct us to inflict pain on people, especially those who are closer to us like our family members.
This type of act is purely the influence of the devil. It is only the devil that can enter into the mind of a man and ask him to hurt someone. This is not in anyway pleasing in the sight of God. To the best of our capacity we should live a peaceful life, the type of life that portrays the love of God
