The Word of God teaches us to do good works. Good works is the instruction of God to us who are his children. The people of the world do not understand this. They do not have the mindset of doing good. They only believe in what they can gain. They have no mind of giving to others. We should not be like the people of the world. The world is governed by darkness. It is a system ruled by selfishness. We are called from this system to live for God. The Word of God is the illuminating element that brightens the world. The children of God are the season factor in this world of evil. So, the call to bless the world with good works should be our daily way of life.
The Lord Jesus Christ was on earth and His presence on the earth blessed the world with goodness. There was no on other person who ever existed like Him. He was love personified. He was an expression of love. He loved the people. He never discriminated with those who loved him and those who hated him. The very people that He feed with bread and fishes were those who asked Pilate to crucify Him. Jesus truly showed himself as the light of the world. He was not tired of healing the sick no matter how many of them came. He raised the dead. He made the blind to see. He made the lame to walk. He was someone who heartbeat was goodness to a hurting world.
Galatians 6:9-10 (KJV) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
