The Word of God is the bread is life. That means that we need the Word of God to live. Anyone who does not have the word of God does not have life. So, it is important that we study the word of God regularly on a daily basis. The importance of having the Word of God in our hearts cannot be over emphasized. It is of utmost importance that our hearts be established in the word of God. The Lord Jesus Christ told us to search the scriptures because we are having eternal life through it. When the devil confronted our Savior, He told him that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
The Apostle Paul admonished Timothy to study the Word of God and show himself approved. That is how we should read the Bible. We should read it till we have proven ourselves not to be ashamed of anything. The word of God is to dwell in our hearts so richly. Let us give more time and be fully acquainted with the word of God. God is speaking to us through his words. If we do not understand what the Bible teaches, we will not be able to obey the commandments of God.
Reading the Word of God everyday will help us to grow in grace. We are told in the Bible that we should grow in grace. That grace will come when we are soaked in the word of God. Jesus Christ said that we are cleansed by the Word that He speaks unto us. His words are recorded for us in the Bible. The more we read the Bible, the purer we will become.
