The Bible says that he who steals should steal no more. That is a call to repentance. We should stop stealing and cheating people to get their resources. But what does the Bible say? It says such a person should rather go and work so that he will have what to give to those who are poor.
So, the Bible has clearly made it known to us that we are financially responsible for others. We are instructed in the doctrines of the church to go and work and then bring what we earn and share with those who don't have. You are a caretaker of those who are in need of you as a christian. You are the one to bless them financially.
We should not only be concerned about our immediate family members or our friends. We should not only care for those who belong to our cell groups. We are to love everyone. The Bible also says that we should give to whoever asks from us. It says we should not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from us. One of the ways to shine our lights to the world is by being financially responsible for others.
