Good afternoon, brethren. I am going to share with us how we can understand the Bible. The Bible is the book which contains the words of Jesus Christ and the commandments of God which he gave to the children of Israel. Following these commandments of God will help us to be acceptable children of God. It is necessary for us to understand what God wants us to do so that we can do the same. It is also very important that we understand what God does not want us to do so that we can stop doing them. Another important thing is that the Word of God empowers and emboldens us to run the christian race effectively.
When we study the Word of God under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to understand what is the mind of God for our lives. The Holy Spirit is the writer of the Bible. The Bible says that every scripture was given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The holy men of God of old, wrote the scriptures as the Holy Spirit gave them understanding.
Another important factor for understanding the Bible is to be committed to the reading of the Word of God. Many people do not have time for studying the Bible. They know that it is good to study the Bible but they cannot create time on their own to read the Bible. Reading the Bible is important for every christian.
