Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
We are the disciples of Jesus Christ. We are His disciples because we have accepted his doctrines. The doctrines are the teachings of our Master, Jesus Christ. We are those who are following these doctrines. As his followers, we are his disciples. We are going to church because we believe in Him. The church is what he instituted. We are members of the church. Spiritually, we are members of his body. This is because the church is his body. We are one body with Him. We are members of his flesh. We are obedient to him because we are of his.
Are you one of his? Do you obey his commandments? There are many people in the church who do not obey the commandments of God. They are there but they find fault with everything that is happening in the church. They are not interested in doing what pleases God. They prefer to live their lives according to their own way. The way of God is not what pleases them. They have taken to the path of disobedience. If you are one of such, then you are a false disciple.
There is no other way to prove that you are a disciple of Jesus Christ if you are not following after his commandments. I want to tell us that what can make us acceptable before God is obedience to his commandments. So, let us obey His commandments if we are His disciples.
