Deaths! These are tragedies to us humans. Death is something tragic. No one wants to lose anyone who is dear to him or her. We all want to live. Life is enjoyable. Life is worth living. We do not want death. Death is not anything pleasing. We would have loved to live forever. Was not that what God planned for us at the beginning? Yes, we were created to live forever. We possess the breath of God. That is the life of God. The angels have the same life. That is why they don't die. The angels that sinned were cast out of heaven and they will spend their eternity in hell because they cannot die. That life which God created them with cannot be terminated. So, they will live it in eternal torment.
Man cannot die. He is not like animals. Animals don't have eternal existence. When they die, they are gone forever. So, we would have lived forever in life. But sadly, sin came. And the wages of sin is death. What we call death is the reward of sin. It is sin that brings this tragedy.
These days, our ears are heavy with the news of the death of loved ones. Many of our friends and relatives have passed on these few days. But we cannot question God. We have opened the door to this evil by our sinfulness. What is the remedy? We must return to God through our Savior Jesus Christ so that we can pass from eternal torment to eternal life.
