We are in need of salvation much more than anything. Marriage is important but we need salvation much more than we need marital partners. Without money, we will not be able to achieve anything. The Bible says that money answers all this. But irrespective how essential money is, we need salvation much more than anything. So, the subject of baptism is very important and we must ensure that we do everything in our power to be baptized. Why should we so desperately desire it? We should desire it so desperately because our Lord Jesus Christ commanded us so.
There is no restrictions about being engaged and baptism. Everyone can be baptized, if the person has accepted the doctrines of Jesus Christ. The only condition for being baptized is to accept the teachings of Jesus Christ and believe in Him. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ can be baptized. Whether you are married or not, you can still be baptized. Everyone can come to receive baptism. There is nothing that restricts us from being baptized.
Many people are generating excuses because they do not want to obey the commandments of God totally. This is not good. We should show ourselves as obedient disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let not engagement or any other thing make us to refuse baptism. Baptism is a doctrine of the church which we are to obey.
