We need to be at peace, trusting in Jesus Christ and believing the Word of God in the face of every situation in life. To be at peace is to be at calm. Calmness can only come from a heart that is perfectly at peace. No matter what is the challenges which life throws on us, let us learn to remain calm and trust in God for all that we are going through. The Lord Jesus Christ did not promise us His disciples that life will be completely easy. In fact, He said that in the world we shall have tribulations. He said that we are to pass through many tribulations before we will inherit the kingdom.
So, we should already be prepared in our hearts for whatever we see. Compromising with sin to have an easy life is not the right thing. If we fall because of the trials which we are experiencing, then we will not be recommended by our God. He had suffered many things from evil men and left us an example that we should follow suit. As true soldiers of the cross, we will do well to hold firm our profession regardless of what may come our way.
Remember that the Lord Jesus Christ told us that we shall have peace in Him. It is true that in the world there will be tribulations. We are perplexed everyday. We are denied peace at many instances. But let us keep looking unto Jesus Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith.
