When we trust in God, we will be hearing and listening to His words because our hearts will delight in His Word. We will set our love on him and delight in Him because He is our God. We are those who trust and believe in God. We are those who worship the living God. So, our God enlightens our hearts and minds and we can understand His Word.
Those who trust in idols are in darkness. They do not have the true light. Those ones are like their idols. They have ears but they cannot hear. They have eyes but they cannot see. Those are the people who trust in idols. The idols are gods who have ears but do not hear.
When we listen to the doctrines of God, let our hearts be opened to believe in His Word. When we receive God’s Word with opened mind, doing what we are learning won't be difficult to us.
