It is a good thing to pray. Why should we not pray? We have to pray because it is by prayers that we can build our relationship with God. We have to depend on God for everything. If we refuse to depend on God, it could be an indication that we are proud. Pride is one of the reasons that make people not to pray. When you turn to God in prayers, it is an indication that you putting your trust in Him. God want us to trust Him totally in our lives. So, praying to God is a good aspect of our relationship with God.
But prayers without faith shall not bear fruit. We must understand that we have to believe in God and in His ability to be able to meet our needs whenever we come to Him in prayer. Faith is a very important ingredient when it comes to us being able to receive from God. Without faith, the Bible says that it is impossible to please God. We must please God by believing in Him. It will be an insult on our God if we do not believe in His ability to solve our problems.
The important aspect of all this is that we should understand that faith without work is dead. When we say we believe, let us show our work by exhibiting positive work that proves our faith. If we trust God to give us money to carry out a certain project, we must pray and after prayers, we should go out and take a work that will be a channel for the money we are asking from God to come in. Every fruitful prayer must be backed up with a productive work. Only prayers alone won't help.
