We must uphold what we have been taught in the Word of God. We should keep the faith that we have been handed. The disciples of Jesus Christ received this common faith from our Lord and Savior and they taught us the same. We should be prepared to hand over the same to the incoming generation. We must endure with the good doctrine which we were taught. Our Lord Jesus Christ expects to see us tarry on doing those things which we were taught in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The gospel has been passed on to us, how are we passing it unto others? Have you introduced your family and friends to it?
Parents are also under obligation to teach their children the way of God. We are going to have a better incoming generation if we teach our children the truth as it is in the Word of God. There are so many deceptions and misleading doctrines which are being passed on everywhere in the world. The Lord Jesus Christ is our only Teacher. Everything that we have learnt from Him, let us teach it to our children. Passing on the faith to our children is an inevitable task. There is expectations from God on us that we train our children and command them after the way of God.
