The Bible records that God created man in His image. He created them in His likeness. Male and female did he create them. God is a spirit. He is not living in the flesh. So, we can say that when God created man after himself, the image of God is not the physical appearance of man.
The image of God reflects the attributes of God. God is a good God. He does good things so we His children should be doers of good. That is why we are commanded by Him to always do good works. We are called unto good works. Evil is of the devil. The devil does evil things. We should not be evil in our lives. We should not think evil about others or do anything evil.
We also know that God is a holy and righteous God. The image of God that we carry is that of righteousness. We should be righteous. We should follow after holiness. We should live according to the doctrines of the church. We should obey the commandments of God. We should live holy because our God is holy.
