Thinking about death is not what most of us wants to do. We do not want to know that one day we shall die. But this is one reality about life. Just as we have life, we will definitely face death someday. Some people will die very old. Others will die quite young. In fact, babies are dying so, death is inevitable. One can evit it out of his or her life. We must put this into our mind so that we can be able to plan our lives wisely. The Bible points us to the fact that we should number our days so that we can apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Death is an appointment which every living creature will keep. Since the fall of man after God created Him, this appointments with death has always been there. The face of everyone keeps pointing to this. You might be good in praying. You might have a very positive mindset. But the reality is that no matter how old you live, you will die one day. Methuselah (the longest living man) lived 969 years still he died. So everyone living has an appointment with death.
Another thing is that after our death, we shall give account of our works. So, everyone should live his or her life trying to fulfill the purpose of his or her existence. The thing is that it is God who will judge us. So, we should live to fulfill God's purpose. We should seek wisdom and apply our hearts to it. We should live cautiously.
