When I Finally Let Go, Life Finally Let Me Breathe

in Lifestyle11 hours ago

Hi Hive,

‎There was a moment in my life when I had to held on to everything, including people, expectations, past mistakes, even pain that I should have let go long time ago. I thought holding on made me strong. I thought holding on to them give me a deep sense of responsibility. But honestly, it only made me tired.

‎Letting go is something so easy for me to do. It felt like losing control, like giving up on things I had invested my heart and time into. I remember nights when my mind refused to rest, replaying conversations, regrets, and “what ifs” over and over again. I carried emotional weight to everywhere I went, and it slowly draining the joy out of even the good moments.

‎But one day, something changed.

‎I got tired of being tired.

‎I began to question myself: What exactly am I holding on to, and is it still serving me? And that question was what changed everything. Because when I answered honestly, I realized that most of the things I was clinging to were already are out of my reach and only one place they still existed was in my mind.

‎Letting go wasn’t just about forgetting or pretending something never mattered. But it was about accepting that not everything is meant to stay. Some people are lessons in our lives. Some situations are not permanent. Some dreams evolve into something totally different. And that’s alright.

‎It felt strange the first time I truly let go of something that was weighing me down and almost uncomfortable as well. But later came a sense of relief that I hadn’t felt in a long time. The situation felt like taking a deep breath after being underwater for too long.

‎Life didn’t magically become perfect and problems didn’t just disappear overnight. But something inside me became lighter that I began to smile more, worry less, and appreciate the present instead of being trapped or holding on to the past.

‎I have come to learned that letting go is not weakness but it’s wisdom. It means choosing peace over chaos. It’s understanding that you deserve a better life than constantly fighting battles that are already over.

‎Often, we hold on because we’re afraid of many things, afraid of change, afraid of being alone, afraid of starting all over again. But what if letting go is truly the starting point of something better? What if the peace you’re seeking for is on the other side of letting go?

‎Life truly feels better when you let go. Not because everything becomes easy, but because you stop making it harder for yourself and allow peace to take over instead of worries.

‎My piece of advice right now is if you have anything you’re holding on to currently, being it pain, anger, regret, or even someone who no longer chooses you. It's best you consider this your sign that you don’t have to carry it forever.

‎Let it go.

‎Not for them, but for you.
‎To live in peace
‎For more opportunities
‎And for new life.

Holding onto things unnecessarily could be disastrous; best habit is surely to let go. Holding onto things can make you physically, spirituality or mentally uncomfortable. Let me relate to a particular exam I wanted to write; I made a mistake to memorise almost everything I read. It led to confusion, making it difficult to make sense of what I read. To solve the problem, I "let go" the burden I created in my brain and my brain worked normally again. If you want to make progress in life, you must cultivate the habit of "let go".

I totally agree with you that holding on to things unnecessarily could be harmful and that's why we me must seek for peaceful life by let go of those burden to all new opportunities. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Thanks

Very well said it is always best for our body, soul and mind to let things go as negativity will grow making things become worse.
