BeerSaturday challenge wk-398: Tiger beer is the code

Good day lovely genuine friends of #BeerSaturday community challenge and to you @detlev. Am here again to narrate and to write about a beer I enjoyed just yesterday in a friend's house.

two weeks ago, my phone rang early in the morning and when picked, I heard my very good friend's voice telling me that she gave birth to a bouncing baby girl 2 days ago but was not able to inform me immediately because she had crises after birth. Ahh, I jumped up and down with all happiness because it's her first time delivery. I booked appointment to visit them but wasn't able to because the mother came and took her home which is far way from town inorder to take proper care of her.

But we kept on contacting each other via phone calls. On Saturday, which is 2 days ago, she arrived back home and I was informed. So yesterday, I visited them towards evening and we had and enjoyed the whole moment together. There, they offered me cold tiger beer. Now let me drop informations about the beer.

The producer

Nigerian breweries PLC is the most leading beer producing companies in Nigeria and also the producer of tiger beer.

They produced and introduced tiger beer to Nigerian market in the year 2018 and ever since then, tiger beer have become one of the trending beers in Nigerian market because it soothes both light headed men and women since it's alcohol volume is as low as 5%.

Tiger beer has a unique premium taste because it's a foreign beer having it's origin from Singapore in the year 1932 which is about 86 years ago but have lasted only for roughly 7 years in Nigeria.

Major ingredients

Tiger beer is made up of 5 major ingredients namely:

• Water
• Yeast
• Malted barley
• Hops
• Rice

Now let's cross-check the work of each ingredient and why they're essential for the beer.

• Water: These beer is a 33ml content and most content of it(70-80%) is made of water which helps in balancing its thirst quenching quality while adding refreshment to its consumer.

• Yeast: malted barley contains sugar, so yeast present in the beer helps to ferment the sugar and same time produces enough alcohol to the beer.

• Malted barley: Malted barley is the source of malty taste in the beer

• Rice: Helps in balancing the malty aroma or flavor and same time adds crispy taste to the beer.

• Hops: While drinking tiger lager beer, you'll feel a slight bitter taste. That bitter taste is the handwork of hops while also contributing to its flavor.

Tiger lager beer has a golden color enriched with moderate bitter taste too.

I enjoyed the beer last night and was not able to finish the whole bottle content, i enjoyed only but one cup because of health challenge but my friend did justice to that since she's permitted to drink alcohol by her doctor.

But am still wondering why the original producer gave it the name TIGER. Am saying this because, tiger is known for its aggressive characteristics but this beer is mild and palatable. So what is the connection and how did the name rhyme? Probably, they just like the name.

As for my friend that gave birth, she and her daughter are bouncing in good health and I showered her with gifts as its my duty to do so.
