Greetings to all Splinterlands players! I am playing in the Frontier section of the game and today's Social Media post I will show some battles I played. I am playing in Silver III league where I compete with players of similar rank. It's similar to playing chess on lichess.org where I am paired with players of my own caliber. This makes the games even and competitive because playing against higher rated will mostly likely be an instant loss and not fun at all.
Splinterlands Updates
Before going further, let me talk about new updates from Splinterlands. The game continue to evolve to make it not boring for players. This week, two new cards were announced. They are both legendary cards and to help their owners win games.
The first card belongs to the Dragon faction. His statistics are very strong and has five skills.

| Expose | 80% chance to remove Forcefield, Lookout, Deflect, Shield, Void, Void Armor, or Immunity after a successful attack. Expose will always remove Immunity first. |
| Last Stand | +50% to all stats and current health (rounded up) if no other allied units remain on the team. |
Calamity can be obtained from Conflicts wagons.
The second card announced is also a legendary dragon card but he is also a member of the life faction. The card is Dar "Gottem" Gearnut.

Skills:
| Trample | After using a melee attack to defeat a unit, performs another melee attack against the unit in the next position. |

Both cards are strong but I prefer Dar "Gottem" Gearnut to Calamity. He is easier to acquire in the Voucher shop. Just buy vouchers from hive-engine if you have the funds and you can purchase Dar "Gottem" Gearnut from the shop. I also like his stats and skills better than Calamity.
My Status
I'm playing in Silver III league in the Frontier section to earn some more cards from the Frontier set. I prefer to play in this section because I don't have much cards in the Modern section so the Frontier is more competitive for me. In the Frontier, I don't have to worry about stronger cards. The game is more about skill and dedication because we generally have the same set of cards like having the same pieces in chess.
The game below is similar to the one I posted last week about Global Warming ruleset. This time, the ruleset is Earthquake where the focus is to survive while battling with my opponent. As I wrote last week, my strategy is to choose units with high life stats. For this reason, I choose the Earth element. The units have high life statistic and the archon buffs them with an additional life stats.
Dread Tafarian is my tank. He has healing skill that in necessary for survivability in this game.
Mad Gearhead has five life and can attack with Reach skill.
Time Bandit I usually choose this unit in survival rulesets because he has seven life.
Glimmermancer is my key card that gives me an advantage. This card is also available in Campaign Mode but can only be acquired from reward chests.
Wilhemdale Deputy has two ranged attack and five life. This card gave me the advantage in this game.
Kicking Roc has three ranged attack and five life.
My opponent chose the Fire element. Some of his units have very low life like Chaos Furybringer and Echelon. They are not advisable to use in this ruleset in my opinion.
The opponent had the advantage in speed and attack my team first but did not kill any of them. My team did their own damage and the enemy team got killed by the earthquake. My advantage in life won me this game.
