3-in-1 necklace with Christmas tree pendant [Eng-Esp]

Greetings, fellow craft lovers! Welcome back to my workshop @bricolajedc. Today, I'd love to share with you how to make one of the most popular accessories this time of year: a 3-in-1 necklace with a Christmas tree pendant. Join me and I'll show you step by step how to make it.

Les doy la bienvenida una vez más a mi taller @bricolajedc, en esta oportunidad me encantaría compartir con ustedes la elaboración de uno de los accesorios más solicitados en esta época, se trata de un collar 3 en 1 con colgante de árbol de navidad. Acompáñenme y les muestro el paso a paso.

Materials:

Hypoallergenic jewelry wire, gauge #18 and #28
Czech beads in emerald green, red, and gold
Snakeskin cord

You will also need jewelry pliers, scissors, and a lighter.

Let's get started!

También vanos a necesitar las pinzas para bisutería, tijera y un encendedor.

We begin by cutting the cord into three sections. One section is 48 centimeters long, one is 41 centimeters long, and the shortest is 37 centimeters long.

Comenzamos cortando el cordón en 3 tramos. Un tramo de 48 centímetros, uno de 41 centímetros y el más corto de 37 centímetros.

Once we have the base of our 3-in-1 necklace, we will proceed to place the caps on the ends that will join the three sections of the necklace.

We join the three ends. We take the #18 wire directly from the roll. And we will wrap it, leaving 1 centimeter of the ends.

Una vez que tenemos la base de nuestro collar 3 en 1, vamos a proceder a colocar los capuchones en los extremos que serán los que van a unir los 3 tramos del collar.

Juntamos las 3 puntas de Tomamos el alambre #18 directamente del rollo. Y vamos a enrrollar dejando 1 centímetro de las puntas.

We cut off the excess cord and then burn it with a lighter.

Cortamos el excedente del cordón y luego quemamos con el encendedor.

From the cord, measure 5 centimeters of wire and cut it.

Desde el cordón, medimos 5 centímetros de alambre y cortamos.

Now, using the mandrel clamp, we are going to wrap wire around it to make the tip of the cap. We center it on the cord and repeat this at both ends of the cord.

Ahora con la pinza mandril, vamos a enrrollar en alambre para hacer la punta del capuchón. Lo centramos en el cordón y vamos a repetir esto en los 2 extremos del cordon.

Using #28 wire, we will twist two 1-meter strands and place them alternately in each section of the cord to make the necklace decorations.

Con el alambre #28 vamos a enroscar 2 hebras de 1 metro y ubicando intercalado en cada uno de los tramos del cordón para hacer los adornos del collar.

We will also make a four-ring clasp so that it can be worn in several sizes, and a hook.

También haremos un cierre de 4 argollas para que sea de varias tallas y un anzuelo.

Now we are ready to make our Christmas tree. We start with the base using #18 wire. We can make a paper guide to make it easier to shape the wire, especially if we are going to make several.

Ahora estamos listos para hacer nuestro árbol de Navidad. Comenzamos por la base con alambre #18. Podemos hacer una guía en papel, así se facilita el moldear el alambre, sobre todo si vamos a hacer varios.

When the base is ready, take the #28 wire, place the beads alternately, and begin weaving.

Cuando la base está lista, vamos a tomar el alambre #28, colocamos las mostacillas intercaladas y comenzamos a hacer un tejido.

Then we'll wrap the wire around the tree without beads to finish the decoration.

Luego vamos a darle algunas vueltas con el alambre al al arbolito sin mostacilla para terminar la decoración.

Then we place gold-colored beads for the tree trunk. And with the thin flat pliers, we make some small breaks in the wire.

Luego colocamos mostacilla de color dorado para el tronco del árbol. Y con la pinza plana fina hacemos unos pequeños quiebres en el alambre.

And so we finish our 3-in-1 necklace with a Christmas tree pendant. This project was really fun to make. I decided to make my own version of a Christmas tree pendant, and I think I'll take on the challenge of making one with polka dots too.
