Hey Hive DIYers! 👋
It’s another creative day for me, and I wanted to share a small but satisfying makeover I gave to one of my old beadwork pieces.
Sometimes, all it takes is one small idea to breathe new life into something you’ve already created and that’s exactly what happened with my beaded flower vase
✨ The Backstory
Some time ago, I made a flower vase using dark brown and yellow beads.
It’s been sitting pretty on my shelf, but recently I started feeling like it could get a little upgrade, something subtle but noticeable.
That’s when I decided to create a round bead cluster, also known as the “Ball of 30”, and use it as a topper to switch up the look.
Same materials, same colors, just a fresh twist!
🧵 Materials Used
- Transparent fishing line
- Dark brown and yellow beads
- A dose of patience 😅
📸 Before & After
Here’s the beaded vase I made earlier:
And here’s the “Ball of 30” I just finished crafting from the same bead colors:
Creating the Ball of 30 wasn’t difficult, but it required focus, firm grip, and some symmetry.
I threaded the beads row by row, pulling the line tight as I moved along, and made sure to alternate colors to match the pattern of the vase.

I didn’t want to remake the vase from scratch, just enhance it with something decorative and functional.
In the end, this small addition completely refreshed the look of the vase and gave it a new personality.
🎯 Final Thoughts
Sometimes, the best part of DIY isn’t creating something new but reinventing something old.
💬 Have you ever updated or reimagined a previous craft project?
I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of Hive 💛
Let’s keep creating, experimenting, and sharing.
Much love,
