Tenía tiempo que no pasaba por aquí con una manualidad; por lo general, las manualidades que he estado realizando son para mi princesa Ámbar, así como esta, y las comparto en la comunidad de mamás; las pueden ver en mi blog. En esta oportunidad quise compartir con ustedes este DIY de cómo estuve realizando un cintillo o diadema con forma de mandarina, una rica fruta.
Mi princesa Ámbar está en primer grado y su grupo tenía una serie de exposiciones sobre las frutas y a ella le tocó hablar sobre la mandarina. Para esto había que llevar algún material de apoyo, para lo cual le estuve haciendo una bonita lámina que la mandé a imprimir en ploteo porque no tenía mucho tiempo para elaborarla a mano. Lo que sí me dediqué fue hacerle un bonito cintillo para que acompañara su exposición.

Para hacer este bonito proyecto estuve utilizando los siguientes materiales: una diadema en metal; la quise utilizar así porque, por lo general, se lo hago con uno de plástico y, después de tanto trabajo, se parten. También estuve usando fomi en color dorado escarchado, naranjado, blanco y verde escarchado para hacer una media mandarina. Para las flores estuve utilizando cinta de raso de 2. 5 cm y hilo y aguja, perlitas pegadas en nylon.
Estuve haciendo a mano unos patrones del tamaño que quería la mandarina y fui sacando cada una de sus partes y en los diferentes colores, así como las hojas, y corté las cintas de 8 cm y las quemé por las puntas que las hice redondeadas.

Una vez que tenía cada una de sus partes, fue fácil ir armando, pegando con silicona caliente las piezas una sobre otra. Para que las mandarinas tuvieran cuerpo, les coloqué por dentro cartón y las forré por las dos partes; también les coloqué un strass plástico dorado.
Por la parte de adelante quería que se viera el lado escarchado dorado y por la parte de atrás le coloqué en naranja y blanco. Una vez que se lo probé a mi princesa, a ella le gustó más la parte que se veía naranja, porque se veía más natural; sin embargo, ya había pegado las flores por el lado escarchado, así que me las ingenié y volví a cortar la parte naranja y la coloqué encima de lo dorado.
Para hacer las flores, coloqué una cinta sobre otra en forma de cruz, pasé costura por el cuadrado que se forma en el centro y fruncí; es muy fácil esta flor y se ve linda.

Por aquí les muestro cómo se veía el cintillo de bonito, tanto por la parte de adelante como por la parte de atrás. En medio de las dos flores le coloqué un lazo de raso en color verde que le dio un toque también especial.
Mi niña se veía preciosa; por aquí la ven con su lámina cuando estaba practicando para su exposición, que luego se los estaré mostrando porque la hizo muy muy bien.

Mandarin headband for Amber
Greetings and blessings, friends at @diyhub. It's been a while since I've been here with a craft project. Usually, the crafts I've been making are for my princess Amber, like this one, and I share them with the moms' community. You can see them on my blog. This time, I wanted to share with you this DIY project on how I made a headband shaped like a tangerine, a delicious fruit.
My princess Amber is in first grade, and her class had a series of presentations about fruits, and she was assigned to talk about tangerines. For this, she had to bring some supporting material, so I made her a nice poster that I had printed because I didn't have much time to make it by hand. What I did do was make her a pretty headband to go with her presentation.

To make this beautiful project, I used the following materials: a metal headband; I wanted to use this because I usually make them with plastic ones, and after all that work, they break. I also used gold glitter foam, orange, white, and green glitter foam to make half a tangerine. For the flowers, I used 2.5 cm satin ribbon, thread, and a needle, as well as nylon-backed pearls.
I made some patterns by hand in the size I wanted the tangerine to be and cut out each of its parts in different colors, as well as the leaves. I cut the ribbons into 8 cm pieces and burned the ends to make them rounded.

Once I had all the parts, it was easy to assemble them, gluing the pieces together with hot silicone. To give the tangerines body, I placed cardboard inside them and covered them on both sides; I also added a gold plastic rhinestone.
I wanted the gold frosted side to be visible at the front, so I put orange and white on the back. Once I tried it on my princess, she liked the orange side better because it looked more natural. However, I had already glued the flowers on the frosted side, so I improvised and cut out the orange part again and placed it on top of the gold.
To make the flowers, I placed one ribbon on top of another in a cross shape, sewed through the square that forms in the center, and gathered it. This flower is very easy to make and looks cute.

Here I show you what the pretty headband looked like, both from the front and the back. In the middle of the two flowers, I placed a green satin bow, which also gave it a special touch.
