Hello!
Thank you so much for the award!
Congratulations to all the participants and the winners in general!
THIS IS MY PARTICIPATION IN THE MINI CONTEST:
Today's topic brings back many memories...
I say memories because where I live, drinking milk is a luxury that not all of us can afford these days.
But I did enjoy better times when milk, in many forms, was plentiful and very cheap. Times when you could enjoy cans of condensed milk, raw, cooked, with chocolate, ice cream, malt, cookies... Phew... my mouth is watering as I write these words, and I know many of you won't understand, because normal, perhaps for you, is being able to access something as basic as dairy products...
I continue to evoke my favorite flavors in relation to milk...
I don't know about you, but that glass of freshly milked natural milk, straight from the field, freshly boiled, with a tablespoon and a half of brown sugar, or raw sugar as it's also called, and a touch, or two, or even three, of strong coffee... It's the perfect way to start the day.
I also passionately visualize being able to pour hot chocolate into a nice jug of hot milk while enjoying a sunrise with birds singing across the mountains and the dew falling from the trees creating rainbows... I'm writing and I feel the temperature in my hands and the smell of that exquisite beverage...
Another way I like to drink milk is very unique. I learned it while immersing myself in South American culture, specifically Argentine and Uruguayan. From that moment on, my passion for drinking yerba mate became perpetual in all its forms. And one of the forms I learned has stayed with me forever. It involves pouring hot milk over the mate once it's been soaked. The milk reactivates the flavor and makes it exquisitely stimulating.
Of course, I also like cold milk, but if I have to choose, I'll stick with any of the options mentioned above, and others I won't mention for reasons of space.
Before closing, I invite @maiasun84 to share her thoughts on the subject with us.
And now, asking you all to smile, I bid you farewell with a big hug and a toast of light to everyone!
