I love yoghurt, it's a delicious food that goes well with many fruits. It's common to find it as a drink in flavours such as strawberry, peach, pineapple, among others. However, this time I've prepared it with a fruit that's very popular in my country but not very common when it comes to yoghurt... I'm talking about:
Yoghurt with guava!
Me encanta el yogur, es un alimento delicioso que combina con muchas frutas, es usual encontrarlo como bebida en sabores como la fresa, el melocotón, la piña, entre otros, sin embargo, esta vez lo he preparado con una fruta muy popular en mi país pero nada usual cuando hablamos de yogures... Me refiero a:
Yogur con guayaba!
I had been thinking about this idea for days, and I took advantage of some homemade liquid yoghurt that I had recently prepared.
Guava juice is delicious, and if we add milk to make a milkshake, it's also very delicious. Now, mixing it with yoghurt should be quite delicious. Don't you think?
Well, I tried it and the result was great: creamy, delicious, tempting colour and with much of the nutritional value of its ingredients. A real treat for those who want to try a different but delicious yoghurt, as always.

Desde hace días tenía esta idea en mente y aproveché un poco de yogur líquido casero que preparé recientemente.
El jugo de guayaba es delicioso, si le agregamos leche para preparar una merengada es también muy delicioso, ahora la mezcla con yogur debería resultar bastante delicioso. No les parece?
Pues lo he comprobado y el resultado ha estado genial, cremoso, de sabor riquísimo, de color tentador y con buena parte del aporte nutricional de sus ingredientes. Todo un deleite para quienes quieran probar un yogur diferente pero delicioso como siempre.
Vamos a su preparación 😉
Ingredients for 1 glass:
- 1 ripe guava, washed and disinfected.
- 1 cup of liquid yoghurt.
- 2 teaspoons of sugar.
- 1/4 cup of cold water.
Ingredientes para 1 vaso:
- 1 guayaba madura lavada y desinfectada.
- 1 taza de yogurt líquido.
- 2 cucharaditas de azúcar.
- 1/4 taza de agua fría.
Preparation // Preparación:
First, I washed and disinfected the guava with water and vinegar, as I blended it with its skin on, also cutting off the ends.
I blended the guava with a quarter cup of water for a concentrated, creamy and thick result. I strained it to remove the seeds.
Primero lavé y desinfecté la guayaba con agua y vinagre ya que la licué con su concha, cortando también sus extremos.
Licué la guayaba con el cuarto de taza de agua para un resultado bien concentrado, cremoso y espeso. Colé para quitar las semillas.

I blended the guava mixture I had made with the liquid yoghurt and sugar.
Licué la preparación de guayaba que obtuve junto al yogur líquido y el azúcar.

And well, after a few shakes I got my delicious drink.
If you have yogurt at home, flavor it however you like, and if you also have guavas, you can make a delight like this.
Y bueno, luego de unas pocas licuadas obtuve mi deliciosa bebida.
