Hello all Hive People & Splinterlands lovers,
The 11 days has been passed for current season of Splinterlands. Plyers are left with 4 days to ranked up before end of season. During the week end I got time to listen to the last AMA. At the end I hearted bout that the Survival mode will get some updates in the coming days. I was not sure exactly what changes the new update will bring, I go through some posts and come to know more about the same. Some of you may also be unaware of the changes so lets have a look at those. First of all that the changes are happened because a proposal was approved in SPS DAO. The new update bring the new reward system and the bracket system in the game. No doubt the Survival ode was one of the exciting addition in the game and many players love the idea but to some extend it was not up to mark. It was not able to attract the players as much t was expected and reward system was one reason also. The imbalance between the players make it unfair for many players.
Hope with the new changes which are as per the proposal approved will bring some positivity and player participation in survival mode.
The new bracket system will be introduced as a part of update and their will be beta testing period also for 3 months (that means for 6 seasons). Each season will have the reward pool of 850,000 SPS. Their will be total 11 brackets and those brackets will restrict the card level used an this will ensure that the players with lower level card or less experienced player will not encountered with experienced players and create a fair play scenario. Th cooldown period will also varies as per the bracket, the higher brackets will have the longer cooldown period. The bracket chosen once will be locked for the whole season, so their will not be any option to change the bracket during the season so players has to choose it carefully.
The reward system will not be fixed for each bracket every season. The participation of payers in each beaked will decide the reward share from the pool. This is to restrict the unfair distribution of the rewards as their may be chance that in case of the fixed quantity of rewards, the bracket will less payers will distribute the more rewards per player. The dynamic reward system will take care of it.
Game progress
just now when I start writing the post I am unlocked the Diamond II league. One funny thing was that when I opened the rewards, in a row the first three cards were Luceheim Demon only, in total I pulled eight numbers lol. With 260 more ranked points I will be able to Diamond I and still have 4 days for same. Lets see if I will be able to unlock the Diamond I league this time. Last season was average as I earned 87459 Glint tokens only and this season also will earn more then 90k token for sure.
I purchased 150 draws with 150000 Glint token, the draw opening was not lucky in terms of pulling the Legendary Card, so no Legendary Card form the draws in last season, you can check the below screenshots.
I mostly us the potions when opening the draws but today I noticed two things, first was that the Legendary Potion increase the change of pulling the Epic cards (I always thing its increase the change of pulling Legendary Card only) and second was that the system shows how many potions we used when opening the draws. Check below screenshot.
I case of pack opening we always know that number of cards we will be awarded but in case of draws its mix of potions, merits, cards etc. The above no shows how many draws has the cards. I noticed it first time.
I am battling in the Diamond II league now (please see the above screenshot). The Glint boost is at x 9.6 and with each winning battle I am getting the 401 Glints.
Here are the screenshot of cards received form the Major chest.
From 150 chests, I received 138 cards, 275 potions, 22 energy and 22,994 merits. The cards pulled were less then the number if compare with the last draw purchase and opening.
