By then, her oldest was old enough to pick up his little sister and wait with her at school until they were collected. But things got a bit complicated when the third child arrived. She needed to be closer to the school, so we had to let her go. She received a good offer from another company, and my sister told her to take it—that it was a great opportunity. We also arranged for her to keep doing small repairs at the counter; all that expertise couldn't go to waste. Besides, those small repairs supplemented her income, and the customers trusted her.
We’ve stayed in touch, and the bond remains just as strong. Her daughter wants to compete in the Miss Venezuela pageant; she is truly a beautiful young woman with a striking look, and I’m sure she’ll make a name for herself. We’ll be there to support her when she’s older.
