One of the things I look forward to every Thursday is the throwback songs that get played randomly on my favorite Radio FM station. Oh yeah, I'm not shy to admit that I still listen to the radio in this modern age. That thing is fun, especially when it comes to random music.
Around 2 p.m. while I was working, I plugged in my earpiece as I listened to the random songs while continuing with my work. When a particular song that used to be my favourite back then came on, I couldn't contain myself because it brought back a lot of memories—good memories.

That song is "Tease Me" by Wizkid. Yeah, that song is among the hit tracks of the Superstar album released in 2010, and that's actually his first album. Towards the end of that song, he mentioned some guys who were making things happen in the music industry back then, and it gave me goosebumps because I knew those guys—and they were my favourites too. He mentioned the likes of his boss, Banky W, Skales, Samklef, defunct Mo’Hits stars such as Dr. Sid and D’Prince, Chocolate City stars such as M.I, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince. He also mentioned Eldee.
Let me tell you something—Wizkid is now one of the biggest Afrobeats musicians as far as Africa is concerned, and this song reflects the time when he started his journey and the people he was running things with—the people that introduced him to fame as well.
The song reminds me of my early days on the blockchain and the first set of people I met, some of whom I'm still very much connected with, while some have kicked me out, and others have climbed so high that I can no longer reach them.
I'm tempted to mention some names, and I’ll begin with the very first guy that introduced me to the Web3 blogging journey—@kushyzee. This guy and I met in a Ponzi WhatsApp group where he introduced the platform called ReadCash, and among hundreds of people in the group chat, I was the only one that took it seriously. After we all retired from ReadCash, this guy—being my ever-loyal guide—guided me to join the now-bubbling Hive platform, which I joined, and where I met other people such as @princessbusayo, who guided me on how to buy Hive from Binance to make my first power-up.
Truthfully, I met Princessbusayo and @fashtioluwa, who were my very first set of followers, including @tomi-ajax. These were the very first set of people before the likes of Wongi and friends came on board. 😅
