Jesus does not make saints, the Catholic Church does, and their bar is a little higher than daily prayer.
I expect the new Pope to allow people to simply buy sainthood again any day now.

Because the Catholic Church makes such a big deal about how THEY make saints. They barely even mention Jesus for the Beatification.
