Normally, when you think of console gaming the Xbox or Playstation come to mind. When you think of family-friendly games everyone can play, Nintendo is the first thing I think of. It's been ages since I've bought any sort of a gaming console, but the time has come.
We're now a Switch 2 family.

My brother-in-law and sister visited from out of state for Christmas and brought their original Switch with them. My two boys already love spending time with their aunt and uncle. When Mario Kart came out, it took hanging out to the next level for them.

The boys were sad to see them go. We were too, but it gave us an idea. We could get a Switch as well and the boys could set up game dates with them.
My youngest son just turned four, so we surprised them both with a Switch 2 as a combined birthday gift. They loved it. They've been chomping at the bit all week to play Mario Kart. I got it all set up through the surround sound system and the boys went to town racing each other.
The only thing left to do is figure out the best place to designate as the "charging station," since there aren't enough plugins by the TV to keep it all together. Oh well. First World problems, right? 😆
