Not all the pictures I take on the streets are easy to "join with others" in a photo series. Some, by nature, can be as "uncomfortable" as I am when everyone at home starts talking about current TV series or recent movies 😂 (I still watch the Original Star Wars trilogy and occasionally a few chapters of "Friends" or "The Big Bang Theory" of TV; new series and movies, I know very little)... But back to my photos; what I used to do then with this kind of photos; which I find it difficult to fit into a specific topic, it is simply "join them all" and create a publication like this...

No todas las fotografías que hago en las calles son fáciles de "juntar con otras" en una serie fotográfica. Algunas, por carácter propio, pueden estar tan "incomodas" como yo cuando todos en casa comienzan a hablar de series de TV actuales o películas de cin recientes 😂 (todavía veo la trilogía Original de Star Wars y de vez en cuando algunos capítulo de "Friends" o "La Teoría del Big Bang", así que de lo nuevo, sé muy poco)... Pero volviendo a mis fotos; lo que acostumbro hacer entonces con este tipo de fotos; las cuales me cuesta encasillar en una temática específica, es simplemente "juntarlas todas" y crear una publicación como esta...

And that street photography is something that, it can look you in the eye directly and say "look, I've got a picture there", but also other times it can be a whisper in the ear, and one turns the gaze and looks, and something finds and shoots. But there are also those moments in which in an "occurring image" there is so much "absolutely nothing" that one goes and says: "It is impossible, there must be something to tell, and still shoots even without knowing why"

Y que la fotografía callejera es algo que, puede mirarte a los ojos directamente y decirte "mira, he allí una foto", pero también otras veces puede ser un susurro al oído, y uno voltea la mirada y busca, y algo encuentra y dispara. Pero también hay esos momentos en los que en una "imagen ocurriendo" hay tan "absolutamente nada" que uno va i dice: "Es imposible, allí tiene que haber algo para contar, e igual dispara aunque sin saber porqué"...

Many things happen to me while I walk the streets taking pictures. And that is due, I think, to me doing this as an exercise in self-exploration. Then the pictures become humanized, and one can do very crazy things sometimes; like talking out loud to a handful of frets thrown in the back of an old truck and telling them: "you guys look beautiful there" 😂. But this is all part of taking pictures like I do…

A mi me ocurren muchas cosas mientras voy por las calles haciendo fotos. Y eso se debe, creo, a que hago esto como un ejercicio de auto-exploración. Entonces las fotos se humanizan, y uno puede hacer cosas muy locas de vez en cuando; como hablarle en voz alta a un puñado de trastes tirados en la parte trasera de un viejo camión y decirles: "Chicos, lucen hermosos allí" 😂. Pero todo esto es parte de hacer fotos como yo lo hago...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
