Greetings my friends and all lovers of physical activities all over the world. Welcome to my Actifit Report for Saturday the 26/7/2025. I hope we are all fine and healthy. Happy weekend everyone.
The much awaited finals of the WAFCON (Women Africa Cup of Nations) took place on Saturday and I must say that the Nigerian ladies, the Super Falcons made history by clinching their 10th title in a grand style.
Host Morocco dominated the opening stages of the game and in fact took the lead in the first half and doubled their lead few minutes later. The first half ended (2-0) in favour of Morocco.
The second half of the game saw the Super Falcons turn the screw on the Moroccans. They got their first goal via penalty after a lengthy VAR review.
And with that the ladies pushed on for an equalizer which came on the 70th minute. With the game poised at (2-2) the Nigerian ladies started believing that the can turn the tide into their favour.
At the dying stages of the game the Super Falcons delivered the killer punch with the 3rd goal of the game. The Moroccans felt undone and the Nigerian ladies were able to see off the game at that point.
Morocco with that loss had made history too as the first host to lose back to back finals which they've appeared in. Nigeria too extended their history by keeping you he record of not loosing any finals they've ever played in.
After the wonderful game, I completed some few online tasks before I then retired for the day.
