I’m thrilled to share that I’ve completed the 100km Deathtrail, and what a journey it’s been! Yesterday, I kicked off with a solid 15km, and today, I dug deep to finish the remaining 85km. Altogether, that’s 120k steps and 8100 calories burned in two days of sheer determination and grit.
Starting early this morning, the trail greeted me with a breathtaking sunrise—a perfect metaphor for the challenge ahead. The 50km mark came and went, a reminder that I was only halfway there. But the beauty of the landscapes and the camaraderie of fellow walkers kept me going, step after step.
Today’s 85km was the true test, pushing me to every limit I thought I had. But as tough as it was, it also offered moments of reflection and appreciation for the journey. The sweat, the fatigue, and even the doubts were all part of what made crossing that finish line so incredibly rewarding.
When I finally stepped across the finish line, it wasn’t just about completing the 100km—it was about proving to myself that I could. Every step taken over these past two days was a step toward this moment, and it’s one I’ll never forget.
This experience has been more than just a physical challenge; it’s been a journey of resilience, endurance, and personal triumph. The Deathtrail was daunting, but now, on the other side of 100km, I can say it was worth every step. Here’s to the next adventure and whatever challenges it might bring!
