Wednesdays are office days — you know the drill. Meetings stacked, calendar jammed, to-dos that multiply like rabbits. But today, I played a different game.
Instead of surrendering to the sedentary schedule, I hacked the system. I started pinging people early, shuffled a few calls, and carved out one glorious hour for myself during lunch.
Cue: sunshine, a lush park in Mechelen, and a much-needed escape from the glow of my screen.
The reward? A rich dose of nature therapy. I strolled through tall grasses, let the early light bounce off my skin, and admired a line of ducks gliding like synchronized swimmers on algae-covered water. It felt less like a lunch break and more like a reboot.
And it didn’t end there.
Post-dinner, @Nathalie-s and I laced up again. We walked. We talked. We took in that low-hanging golden light that Instagram filters dream of.
