Today’s walks were a perfect reminder that nature doesn’t care about your comfort zone—it sets the stage, and you just have to step into it. The wind was relentless, almost pushing me sideways at times, but it made the stillness of the water and the glow of the evening sun even more striking.
I clocked in 16k steps and covered 13km, with the temperature hovering around a brisk 16°C. Not exactly T-shirt weather, but the kind of cool air that makes you feel alive when you’re moving. What struck me most wasn’t the distance or even the workout—it was the sky.
Huge clouds were rolling in, heavy and dramatic, almost like they were racing each other across the horizon. Between them, shafts of light broke through and painted the canal in gold. One moment it felt like summer holding on; the next, autumn whispering in. There was even a stretch where the clouds were lined up like brushstrokes on a blue canvas—completely unreal.
The highlight wasn’t just in the scenery, though. It was in the feeling of rhythm: step after step, breath syncing with movement, the quiet satisfaction of knowing that even on days when it’s windy, chilly, and a little uncomfortable, the beauty out there is bigger than the excuses in here.
So yeah—13km of proof that sometimes, the reward isn’t the destination or even the number on the tracker. It’s the sky reminding you that showing up is enough.
