Saturdays are supposed to be “errand hell.” You know the drill: lines, traffic, and that one thing you forgot that drags you back out again. But today? Smooth. Like, suspiciously smooth. Everything got ticked off the list so fast I almost felt like I cheated the system.
So, with time to spare, I did the thing most sane people would never do with their bonus free time: I went for a walk. Yeah, I know, Netflix was calling, but the shoes won.
Recovery is basically like playing Mario Kart with banana peels everywhere. Some days you’re sliding off the road, and some days you’re actually cruising. Today was a cruising day. So I cranked it up a bit, not crazy, just enough to feel like I earned dessert later. End result: 8km, 11k steps, and a smug little internal fist bump.
The real win? The scenery. Water so calm it looked Photoshopped, trees showing off like they’re auditioning for a postcard, and clouds parting dramatically like the sky knew I needed an Instagram moment.
So yeah, errands done, walk crushed, nature admired. Productivity level: obnoxiously high. Tomorrow I’ll probably trip over my own shoelace, but today? Today was an up.
