Some days, the car feels like a second home, not in a fun road trip way, more like a mobile to-do list. Today was one of those days. Errands stacked like Tetris, and by the time we finally parked the car for good, the sun was already playing hide-and-seek behind the trees.
But we squeezed in a short walk. And man, was it exactly what I needed.
The trail was glowing with autumn drama, orange, red, yellow… every step crunchier than the last. The water reflected it all like nature showing off. And there’s something about that quiet right before full dark, when everything slows down and the world exhales.
It wasn’t a long workout. It wasn’t a record-setting hike.
But it was a moment of presence, and that counts.
