Today felt like one of those days where my schedule was a jigsaw puzzle missing half its pieces. Every minute was accounted for… or so I thought.
But a 30-minute meeting that ended 15 minutes early and a brisk lunchtime pace bought me something better than extra time: a walk. There’s a strange satisfaction in reclaiming minutes that weren’t supposed to exist.
The canal was lined with fire-colored trees, their reflections rippling in the still water. Nature seemed in no rush, yet I was out there stealing time from my own chaos to join her for a bit.
Later, after cooking dinner (and multitasking to prep lunch for tomorrow), I laced up again. The second walk was slower, calmer, the kind that lets your brain exhale.
Fitness isn’t always about rigid schedules or perfect plans. It’s about the small, clever wins, the ones where you walk through your excuses instead of around them.
