Hey guys!
Today I met with a friend to find some geocaches again. One of the caches was an adventure lab with a bonus cache at the end.
We started with a traditional cache at the Donatus chapel which was easy to find. Next one was the adventure lab and we learned something about the history of Bornheim and how bad it was for jewish people back then. An artist created some stumbling stones to remember these people and history. Against forgetting was the name of the lab.
One question for example was how old the kid was when it was killed by Nazis. That kid was just two years old. We were shocked. We also saw some of the houses were these poor people lived back then before they tried to leave Germany or got caught and were deported to Auschwitz. This was tough to read and sad. I still can't believe how people could do such things.
We visited all points and answered all questions.
We could also find the bonus cache and started the virtuell cache which we also finished. All in all a good geocaching day.
On the way home I shoot some photos from the undergoing sun out of the car.
Before I went out to meet my friend I cooked for my wife and myself after she came from work. A recipe from Jamie Oliver. Rice noodles with teriyaki sauce, lemon and black sesame seeds. It was surprisingly good.
Now in my nightshift I have a nice bowl with udon noodles, kimchi and chicken katsu. Hot and delicious.
Stay #aliveandthriving
