No rain this morning! The weather system is passing us by and leaving us dry. Temperatures at about 24°C.
Perfect!
So, setting off via Goffs park today heading for Tilgate next. Passing by a small lake in the park.
The conditions felt good and I knew this was going to be a nice ride.
This track is great, slightly downhill, smooth and very shaded. Just a pleasure! It's a ahame it is so short! 😆.
The next lake I passed was Silt Lake in Tilgate Park. The path I took actually bisects the two main lakes. Heading out of the park now towards a bridge over the motorway and out into Cowdray forest for the biggest climb of the day to the highest point of the ride.
Reaching the top of the hill at the main road. After a mile of tarmac road, then taking a left turn and back into the forest again. This is all downhill again and easy going.
At the bottom of the hill, it was back onto the road again for a short way, then into a narrow track beside the motorway. Not long now before entering Tilgate Park once more.
I passed through the public golf course via a gravel track, crossing several fairways being careful looking out for golfers as I went along. A brief stop to let golfers play their shots, and I was on my way again.
Successfully back into Tilgate Park now and a final stop at the main lake before heading back home.
