Anyone for croquet? This game is here being played in the original green designed by the Pulham family in the 1880's.
Apparently, the game was introduced from Ireland in about the 1850's. The old Manor house that was built here has long since been replaced by a horrible block of flats, but the gardens and grounds remain in their original state, pretty much, I'm glad to say.
