Boy, did I enjoy my ride today?! In brilliant September sunshine, I set out for a mountain bike ride through some gorgeous scenery.
The shadows generated by the sun were spectacular!
The track conditions were still perfect, in fact better than in midsummer because we have had some rain which softens the ground a little, making fir a more comfortable ride. 😆
However, there are still obstacles here and there to negotiate, like this fallen tree, which is a little too big to jump over. There was a time when I would have attempted the jump, but not any more! 😅
My route took me along the bypass before turning off into Tilgate Park. The forest was quiet , but lakeside was more busier with people running or walking their dogs in this glorious sunshine. The main lake looked lovely.
There are three lakes here. Titmus lake is the smallest one and is stuated next to the nature centre. It has a jetty and viewing platform for the visitors to walk on.
It took a different route back via Goffs park, another of our many green spaces here in Crawley.
