It was rather odd today driving on local roads. It took me longer than usual to turn out of the junction at the end of my road. Sundays are usually a little quieter, but not today. I discovered why later.
There has been a lot of road resurfacing work going on, which is a good thing. Don't get me wrong, but closing a bridge over the railway was causing a tailback, and cars were taking a rat run through the town centre.
Usually, this kind of work is done at night when roads are quiet. Ah well! The pot holes will be a thing of the past. At least for a few years, anyway!
